Bubblr Pimpampum
Bubblr
is a community where people can create comic-strips (photo novels)
using photos from flickr, just taking a sequence of pictures where
you can add bubbles and create a story. All stories are saved in the
archive.
- Free and easy to use, there is not need to sign-up.
- Photos are from flick, there is not problem with
copyright.
- The comic strip can be embedded in a blog, or e-mail.
- It is available in Catalan, Spanish and English.
- Promotes creativity, and offers a great potential for
language learning by reusing story trips, rated them or simply
creating new ones.

Free
resource and extremely simple to use. There are not requirements to
set up, only an e-mail address and a user name.
Students can post sound, images or words. There is a maximum of 160 words for each post.

In order to create and e-tivity, I am going to use OER from the web.
The criteria I have applied to select the resources is as follow:

- They should be free of access.
- They should be faithful to the principles of the web 2.0 promoting; collaboration, participation and sharing.
- The task should enhance learning outside the classroom.
- The applications should promote task-based activities, students will create a product however the focus will be not only in the final product but as well in the process.
- This product should be chosen according to the student interest and experiences directed to a public outside the classroom. Authentik task.
- It should promote creativity.
All these principles are truly on line with the communicative approach for
language learning.
Characteristics of an E-tivity
E-tivity is a term coined by Professor Gilly Salmon (2002) to describe a framework for facilitating active learning in a online environment.
- E-tivity involves learners interacting with one another in order to complete a particular task.
- An e-tivity is an online learning activity or task that:
- Stimulates the learner.
- Clearly presents all instructions.
- Has a clear title and a call to action.
- Involves the learners posting a contribution and replying to one another.
- Provokes discussion and knowledge construction.
- Provide an authentic task for the learners.
